About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide exceptional in-home personal care and hospice support to clients throughout Westside Cuyahoga County, with primary availability in North Ridgeville. If you're passionate about helping others maintain their comfort, dignity, and independence while building meaningful relationships, we'd love to meet you. Available Schedule: Morning, Afternoon, and Overnight shifts available. Ongoing 24/7 care cases | 2-12 hours shift available. It can be your PT and PRN shifts available. Must be available to work in Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Medina Counties, including North Ridgeville, Middleburg Heights, Parma, Strongsville, Rocky River, Lakewood, Westlake, Avon, Berea, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, and surrounding areas. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum one (1) year of caregiving or home care experience preferred
HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred
Current CPR certification
Negative TB test or Chest X-ray
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of HIPAA and client confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Current COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B vaccinations preferred

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care while assisting clients with daily living activities, including: Personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting), Safe transfers and mobility assistance, Meal preparation and feeding assistance, Medication reminders, Light housekeeping and laundry, Companionship and emotional support
Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the RN
Current Client Needs: This position includes caring for a client who requires: Full assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Incontinence care (urinary), Bedpan assistance, Medication reminders, Meal preparation, Laundry and light housekeeping, Mobility and transfer assistance, Support with exercises as directed by Physical Therapy, Wound care oversight provided by Hospice (caregiver not responsible for wound treatment)
