Hiring: HHA - Caregiver – Personal Care | Westside Cuyahoga | Part- Time
About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide exceptional in-home care throughout Westside Cuyahoga County and surrounding communities. We offer flexible scheduling, steady client assignments, supportive leadership, and opportunities for career growth. We have opportunities available to fit your schedule, whether you're seeking full-time, part-time, PRN, weekday, weekend, or 12-hour shifts. Current schedules include 24/7 care from Thursday to Sunday, with shifts from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Candidates must be available to work in North Ridgeville and nearby locations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience preferred
- HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client mobility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following client care plans
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support
- Prepare meals and provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Accompany clients to appointments and community activities when needed
- Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team
- Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols
