About The Position

Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring in-home Home Health Aides to provide light housekeeping and personal care to elderly and disabled clients in their homes. The role emphasizes dependable attendance, flexibility to fill shifts, careful adherence to and updating of care plans, awareness of changes in clients’ well-being, professional and factual communication, and timely reporting of concerns to management. Caregivers can choose a flexible, self-determined schedule based on client availability. Free HHA certification and training are available. The posting lists salary ranges of $17–$20 and $18–$21.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Own vehicle.
Willingness to travel 15 to 20 minutes between clients.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate approach.
Good time-management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Provide light housekeeping and basic cleaning around the home.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the client.
Assist with shopping errands.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Follow designated care plans and update them to reflect changes in client care.
Observe and recognize behavioral, physical, social, or psychological changes in clients.
Record activities and observations factually in visit notes.
Communicate issues, updates, changes, and concerns to management in a timely manner.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Arrive on time and demonstrate flexibility to fill vacant shifts when needed.
