Home Health Aide in Sweetwater
About The Position
Right at Home Palm Beach is hiring compassionate, caring, and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide in-home care to patients in the Lake Worth, Florida area. The position includes helping patients with daily living, preparing meals, providing companionship and patient-specific support, and completing light housekeeping. Caregivers may accompany patients on errands or medical appointments and use equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts. This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. HHAs must have a Palm Beach County badge; the posting states there are no exceptions.
Requirements
- CNA license or HHA certificate; HHAs must have a Palm Beach County badge.
- Valid driver's license or state photo ID.
- A second form of identification, such as an SSN, passport, or voter registration.
- Auto insurance.
- Vehicle registration.
- CPR card; online classes are not accepted.
- TB test or chest X-ray.
- Level 2 fingerprint background check.
- Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with Medications CEU.
- One letter of recommendation.

- Experience with Hoyer lifts.

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation and transfers, dressing, and shaving.
- Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
- Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments.
- Perform housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, washing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Provide patient-specific support, including hospice supportive care, medication reminders, assistance with exercises, and incontinence care.
- Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
