About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking flexible, compassionate per diem/on-call caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care to people who need dependable support and personalized attention. Caregivers offer dignity-centered care while helping clients with daily living activities in their homes and supporting their independence and quality of life. The role offers flexible scheduling and may provide additional hours as client needs grow. Shifts range from 1 to 12 hours. One-hour shifts pay $30 per hour, two-hour shifts pay $22.50 per hour, and shifts of three hours or longer pay a base rate of $19–$22 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

Have a compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Have hands-on care experience in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Provide a negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Be available to work two weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
Participate in the care coordination team and communicate with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.
