Care Manager - HHA Part-Time and Per-Diem
About The Position
The Home Health Aide assists residents with aspects of daily living according to their care plans, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities. The role focuses on maintaining residents’ safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality. The position reports to the Health & Wellness Director. Open shifts are weekends from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., including Saturday and Sunday or Friday through Sunday. The role is available as part-time or per diem. The stated hourly compensation range is $20 to $22. A $250 sign-on bonus is offered.
Requirements
- Certified Home Health Aide.
- Ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, sitting, fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and to lift and support residents intermittently, using proper body mechanics.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population.
- Dementia experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in each resident’s care plan.
- Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of residents.
- Escort residents to meals and activities.
- Ensure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
- Document all services provided to assigned residents during the shift.
- Immediately report changes in a resident’s condition to a supervisor.
- Assist residents with food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities as indicated in their care plans.
