About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking flexible, compassionate per diem/on-call caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care and personalized support to people who need help. The role supports clients’ independence and quality of life through dignity-centered care and assistance with daily living activities in their homes. It is suited to caregivers seeking schedule flexibility, with the possibility of additional hours as client needs grow. Shift lengths range from 1 to 12 hours. One-hour shifts pay $30 per hour, two-hour shifts pay $22.50 per hour, and shifts of three hours or longer pay a base rate of $19–$22 per hour, based on experience. Requirements

Compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Availability to work two weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, providing transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
Participate in care coordination and communicate with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.
