About The Position
Touching Hearts at Home of SW Boston is seeking dedicated caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care and companionship to older adults, people living with disabilities, and people with medical conditions. The role supports clients in aging, recovering, and living with dignity and independence in the comfort of their homes. The agency describes its environment as family-owned, supportive, communicative, and appreciative, with a team of healthcare professionals. The position offers morning, day, and evening shifts of 4–12 hours, with weekday, weekend, and overnight availability wanted. A 7 a.m. or 8 a.m. start time is ideal. Caregivers must be available on at least three designated, recurring days and able to travel up to 15–20 miles for shifts. Compensation is $21 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and an insured vehicle with the applicant's name on the policy.
- Ability to provide client transportation to appointments, shopping, and engagement activities.
- Advanced proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.
- Ability to commit to ongoing availability on at least three designated, recurring days.
- Reliable and dependable, with the ability to commit to a set schedule.
- Ability to travel up to 15–20 miles for shifts, approximately 30 minutes of commuting time.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Full access to the internet, email, and a mobile phone, with the ability to use a phone app.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing direct care, working as a Home Health Aide, or working as a Certified Nurse's Assistant; private care or care for a loved one is also considered experience.
- Caregiving certifications are a plus but not required.
