About The Position
Capitol View Home Health Care is hiring compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) for PRN evening opportunities throughout Washington, DC. This role is ideal for individuals who already work during the day, attend school, need additional income, or simply prefer evening hours. The available evening shifts are from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Evening care is crucial for clients who need support with meals, personal hygiene, mobility, and preparing for bed, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and independent while providing peace of mind to their families.
Requirements
- Home Health Aide training or certification as required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Availability for 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM.
- Dependable and committed to scheduled client assignments.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow an established plan of care.
- Ability to work independently in a client's home.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned client locations.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home care, personal care, or caregiving experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Assist with toileting and personal care.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Prepare and assist with evening meals.
- Provide medication reminders as permitted.
- Perform light housekeeping related to client care.
- Assist with evening routines and preparation for bed.
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Follow the client's established plan of care.
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition.
