About The Position
Human Touch Home Health is hiring compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) for PRN evening opportunities throughout Washington, DC. We have clients who need assistance with evening routines, meal preparation, medication reminders, personal hygiene, mobility, and companionship. This role offers flexible scheduling with available shifts from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The evening care provided is crucial for clients' comfort, independence, and safety, offering peace of mind to their families.
Requirements
- Home Health Aide training or certification as required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Availability between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
- Dependable and committed to scheduled client assignments.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a client's home.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned client locations.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home care or caregiving experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Assist with toileting and personal care.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Prepare and assist with evening meals.
- Provide medication reminders as permitted.
- Perform light housekeeping related to client care.
- Assist with evening routines and preparation for bed.
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Follow the established plan of care.
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition.
- Help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
