About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Wichita Falls office is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to support senior adults and others in need throughout North Texas. The role provides companionship and assistance with daily activities, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, mobility, and transportation. Caregivers may receive advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care. Shift options include full-time and part-time schedules, 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, PRN, and short one-hour shifts.

Requirements

A passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver attitude.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home or outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
