5 Home Health Aide (HHA or CNA)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one care to patients in their homes in several locations in New Mexico. Care is provided according to a physician-established care plan. The role offers the opportunity to advocate for patients and build lasting relationships with them. Caregivers collaborate with other HHAs and CNAs, case managers, and patients’ physicians. This is a 1099 contract opportunity with part-time and full-time openings. Shifts are daytime shifts listed as 8 a.m.–8 p.m. or 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check. The stated pay range is $15–$20 per hour.
Requirements
- Ability to monitor vital signs.
- Dependable transportation.
- Current CPR certification.
- Pass a background check; offers are contingent upon passing.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one services to patients in their homes.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals.
- Monitor vital signs, temperature, respiration, and other measurements according to the plan of care.
- Remind patients to take medication as prescribed.
- Maintain records and documentation of services.
- Communicate with patients’ families, doctors, and other prescribed individuals about patients’ health and care.
- Advocate for patients and collaborate with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and physicians.
