About The Position

SA Nurses Home Health is hiring certified nursing assistants to provide daily care in patients’ homes. The role serves patients of all ages and backgrounds and involves managing an individual caseload, working independently, and providing each patient with the time and attention needed to meet their needs. The position is suited to someone who enjoys one-on-one patient care outside a clinical setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Licensed CNA.
• CPR.
• Two-step TB test.
• Skills in creating a safe, effective environment, health promotion and maintenance, nursing, health care administration, patient services, dependability, verbal communication, listening, training, and emotional control.

Nice To Haves

• COVID-19 vaccination preferred.
• At least two years of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental health illnesses, or challenging behaviors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record patient condition to support patients in remaining in their homes.
• Observe and monitor patients’ physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
• Assist patients with personal care, including dressing, bathing, and grooming.
• Teach patients how to use canes or walkers, special eating utensils, and techniques or equipment for personal hygiene.
• Teach family members appropriate ways to lift, turn, and reposition the patient.
