Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering customers’ questions about products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Maintain knowledge of department products, answer questions, and make product suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they ask about.
• Inform customers about Drug GM and Home specials.
• Recommend Drug GM and Home items to help customers find the products they want and need.
• Review “sell by” dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special advertisements.
• Support safety programs by following safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management.
• Inspect equipment as part of preventive maintenance and notify the appropriate department or store manager of items needing repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report safety risks or issues and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
