Home Damage Technician
About The Position
ION Solar is hiring a Home Damage Technician to manage inspections following solar installations and perform related repairs. The role includes coordinating inspections with the appropriate jurisdictions, delivering project documents, and communicating important project information to the corporate office. Technicians are expected to complete work within established policies, time frames, and budgets while maintaining quality assurance, quality control, and crew safety. They also communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, responding to questions and complaints. Approximately 90% of repairs involve drywall patchwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- More than 1 year of construction experience in electrical, roofing, or framing.
- Work effectively with others, delegate work among the crew, and resolve potential issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to address customer concerns calmly and professionally.
- Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
- Proficient math skills to calculate material quantities.
- Ability to use ION technology, including Paycom, FieldPro, Salesforce, and smartphones.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to submit to a Motor Vehicle Report.
- At least 21 years old and a clean driving record as determined by an MVR check.
- Ability to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must use earplugs around loud equipment and wear gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.

Responsibilities
- Set up inspections with the proper jurisdictions.
- Deliver documents to project premises.
- Share important information about each project with the corporate office.
- Complete projects in accordance with established policies and procedures, within required time frames and budgets.
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control, with an emphasis on crew safety.
- Communicate professionally, considerately, and respectfully with customers, answering questions and addressing complaints to the best of their ability.
- Perform repairs, approximately 90% of which involve drywall patchwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
