Home & Community Assistant - QCSS (Female). Permanent Part Time- Caloundra
About The Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Life Without Barriers team and support their mission of empowering people with disability to live life the way they choose. The role involves providing personalized support to QCSS (Queensland Community Support Scheme) clients within their homes in Caloundra and surrounds. You will assist individuals with a disability, illness, or mental health condition to maintain their independence and achieve their goals. This is a Permanent Part Time position with working hours available between 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with no evening or sleepover shifts. Travel to support multiple clients daily within the southern Sunshine Coast is essential, and reimbursement for travel expenses is provided. This role offers a chance to make a positive impact in the community while developing skills and building a career.
Requirements
- An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices and problem-solving abilities
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
- National Criminal History Record Check
- QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Aged Care Statutory Declaration

Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance including light house cleaning and meal preparation
- Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeing
