About The Position

Builders Supply is the Midwest’s largest independently owned lumberyard, owned 100% by its employees. For more than 70 years, Builders Supply has provided service to contractors and the public for all of their commercial and residential building needs. As an Inside Sales Representative, you are responsible for selling and providing knowledgeable service to customers and contractors.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug, and lifting test)
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
• Minimally must be able to lift >50 pounds without assistance
• Customer service experience
• Desire to learn extensive product knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of building materials
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product inquiries, including quotes and availability
• Efficiently process sales orders and transactions
• Communicate with departments to ensure orders are completed
• Provide assistance to sales team, contractors, and walk-in customers
