About The Position

Interim HealthCare is seeking a dependable, organized and relationship-focused Home Care Scheduling Coordinator to support our growing Home Care division. This position is responsible for coordinating caregiver schedules, filling open shifts, responding promptly to call-offs and maintaining consistent communication with clients, families, caregivers and the administrative team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of unresolved scheduling needs and understands how reliable staffing directly affects the clients we serve.

  • Reliable attendance and consistent availability are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous home care, healthcare scheduling, staffing or customer-service experience preferred.
  • Experience with AxisCare or another home care scheduling system is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain caregiver schedules for Home Care clients.
  • Match caregivers according to availability, qualifications, location, client needs and personality compatibility.
  • Respond promptly to caregiver call-offs, open shifts and schedule changes.
  • Proactively contact qualified caregivers to secure coverage.
  • Confirm upcoming shifts and address potential coverage concerns before they become emergencies.
  • Communicate schedule updates clearly with clients, families, caregivers and internal team members.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, caregiver availability and documentation in AxisCare.
  • Monitor attendance, late arrivals, missed clock-ins and unconfirmed shifts.
  • Assist with new-client starts, caregiver introductions and ongoing assignments.
  • Follow up with clients and caregivers regarding schedule satisfaction and ongoing needs.
  • Escalate attendance, performance, client-care or safety concerns to the appropriate manager.
  • Communicate unresolved scheduling needs during team and on-call handoffs.
  • Provide occasional scheduling support for the Staffing division as needed.
  • Protect confidential client and employee information.
