This role involves private duty nursing, which means working full shifts (8s, 10s, or 12s) with one client for the entire shift, often with short commutes to local clients. Common diagnoses encountered include TBI, SCI, COPD, Stroke, Dementia/Alzheimer's, Premature Birth, Cancer, and surgery recovery. Nurses with experience in hospitals, long-term care, and schools will find their skills directly transferable to this one-on-one home care setting.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one client care in a home setting.
- Work full shifts (8s, 10s, or 12s) with a single client per shift.
- Manage care for patients with diagnoses such as TBI, SCI, COPD, Stroke, Dementia/Alzheimer's, Premature Birth, Cancer, and surgery recovery.
- Utilize transferable skills from hospital, long-term care, or school nursing settings.
