About The Position

Oak Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living is hiring a Registered Nurse for Home Care. The RN provides nursing care under established home care agency policies and procedures; develops and supervises implementation of each resident’s individualized service plan; observes resident conditions; and communicates with physicians and families or responsible parties as needed. The RN oversees care provided by the Home Support team, including LPNs, aides, home care workers, and companions. All clients are residents of the gated community, so travel is not required.

This is a PRN/flex opportunity with weekend work and an on-call rotation. Compensation is $48.00 per hour, approximately $70 per visit. Oak Crest is an 87-acre continuing care retirement community in Parkville, Maryland, and is part of Erickson Senior Living’s national network. Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state of Maryland.
• Recent home care experience.
• Experience with the OASIS documentation system.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with NetSmart/MyUnity software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in initial evaluations to assess residents’ needs and develop and implement service plans with residents, families, physicians, and/or authorized practitioners.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions.
• Ensure residents’ individualized plans are implemented and followed by the Home Support agency team.
• Deliver nursing care according to the plan of care and acceptable nursing standards.
• Participate in care conferences and other resident-related meetings.
• Participate in orientation and training for other agency nurses and in training and development activities for aides.
• Oversee care delivered by LPNs, aides, home care workers, and companions.
