About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring a Home Care HHA to provide compassionate, dependable in-home care that helps clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. Caregivers support clients’ dignity and quality of life through personalized assistance, companionship, and a safe home environment. The organization provides an RN Supervisor to support caregivers in the field, along with training, resources, and help matching caregivers with clients. The service area includes Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Occasional client transportation to appointments or errands may be required, with mileage reimbursed. The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to advance, including the possibility of moving into an office position in scheduling or recruiting. Compensation is $19.00–$22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Proficiency in English.
Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
Previous experience in home care or a similar setting; this is a plus but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, or walking.
Prepare and serve meals.
Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
