About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistants to join our team in Dearborn Heights, MI. In this role, you will provide essential in-home care and support to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. You will work closely with clients to assist with daily activities and ensure their comfort and safety.
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong communication skills
- Ability to pass background checks
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care or a related field is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Support clients with mobility, including transferring and walking
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to supervisors
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Follow care plans and adhere to health and safety guidelines
