About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team in Northville, MI. As a Home Care Assistant, you will provide personalized in-home care and support to clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or healthcare is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass background checks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes in Northville, MI.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to clients' needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide medication reminders and support as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to client dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and errands.
- Monitor and report any changes in client health or behavior to supervisors.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance client well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with the care team.
