About The Position

Sparkle Squad of Charleston is a locally owned company that provides window cleaning, pressure washing, and professional holiday lighting services. This fall and winter, they are looking for reliable, safety-minded technicians to install, maintain, and remove professional-grade LED lighting displays from roughly October through January. This role involves hands-on, outdoor work at heights on ladders, with a focus on safety and attention to detail. No prior holiday lighting experience is required as training will be provided. The company offers opportunities for advancement to their year-round window cleaning and pressure washing crews for those who perform well during the seasonal role.

Requirements

Comfortable working at heights and steady on a ladder or roof; no fear of heights.
Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb, kneel, reach, and stand for long stretches, outdoors in cold and variable weather.
Reliable and punctual, especially during the November–December peak (includes some Saturdays).
Detail-oriented with pride in clean, finished work.
18 or older.
Valid SC driver's license with a safe driving record.
Friendly and presentable on a customer's property.
Team player.
Able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Experience in holiday lighting, electrical, roofing, construction, landscaping, or handyman work.
Comfort with ladders, hand tools, and working outdoors.

Responsibilities

Install commercial-grade LED displays according to plans on rooflines, landscaping, trees, wreaths, and garlands on homes and commercial properties.
Work safely at heights on ladders and rooftops (single- and two-story), adhering to all safety protocols for ladders, fall protection, and electrical safety.
Build clean, finished displays by ensuring custom-fit measurements, straight lines, even spacing, hidden cords, and secure fasteners.
Test and troubleshoot displays, and handle in-season service calls.
Load, organize, and care for materials, tools, and the truck.
Maintain a tidy job site.
Take down, label, and store displays carefully after the season.
Represent Sparkle Squad on customer property in a uniformed, courteous, and clean manner.
