About The Position

This is a seasonal, full-time and part-time position from October 1 to December 14, with additional takedown work in January. The role involves installing professional Christmas light displays on homes and businesses. Installers will work outdoors in crews, climbing ladders, walking on roofs, and solving problems to create festive displays. The job is physically demanding but offers the opportunity to earn good money, be part of holiday traditions, and see the finished product.

Installers are paid hourly ($22-$35+/hr) plus tips and bonuses for Google reviews. Earning potential increases with skill and responsibility. The company emphasizes safety, using professional equipment and training to ensure crews work hard, make good money, and go home safely. The ideal candidate is comfortable with heights, enjoys working outdoors and with a team, is competitive, efficient, and dependable. This role is not suitable for individuals uncomfortable with heights, heavy lifting, or physical outdoor work, or those who are not punctual.

Requirements

• Must already be comfortable working on ladders and walking on residential roofs.
• Able to safely carry a 40–50 lb ladder.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation to Chicago - North Center Neighborhood.
• Comfortable working outside in changing fall and winter weather.
• Dependable and able to arrive on time.

Nice To Haves

• Previous professional Christmas light installation experience is not required, as training will be provided.
• Comfortable with heights before the first day.

Responsibilities

• Install professional Christmas light displays on homes and businesses.
• Work outdoors with a crew.

• Install roofline lights, wreaths, garland, trees, and ground lighting.
• Troubleshoot lights.
• Ensure displays are clean and professional.
