About The Position

The Holiday Gift Guide Retail Sales Ambassador drives sales by connecting with customers, sharing vendor product knowledge, recommending and upselling products, and cultivating repeat clientele. The Ambassador serves as an expert for the represented vendor, brand, or area; communicates customer needs and shopping patterns to store leadership and vendor partners; and executes strategic merchandising initiatives. The role also supports customer-facing vendor events and helps maintain a welcoming, well-presented sales floor. Requirements

At least 1 year of previous selling or retail experience.
Ability to build relationships and convert customers into clients.
Energetic and positive attitude.
Vision and creativity.
Self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time-management skills.
Ability to communicate and present information effectively to customers, peers, and all levels of management.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate across departments.
Comfort using computers, mobile devices, and radio-frequency equipment.
Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to lift, move, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders; stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 30 pounds.
Color vision.
Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.

Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional customer experience by making the customer the priority.
Greet customers, recommend products, and upsell.
Serve as a liaison between designated vendors, personal stylists, and the store leadership team.
Keep the sales floor neat, clean, and properly signed for sales and markdowns.
Create and implement practices to drive sales, turnover, and gross margin above company average.
Build brand-specific clientele to support local marketing.
Execute vendor and non-vendor events to increase sales.
Plan, organize, and lead customer-facing vendor-sponsored events in partnership with the vendor community, meeting sales and participation goals.
Use Macy’s point-of-sale systems and company devices to complete sales.
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect and strengthen relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
Communicate customer needs and shopping patterns to leadership and vendor partners.
Execute strategic merchandising initiatives for the represented vendor, brand, or area.
