About The Position
Morgan Park Sports Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Hockey Coach to join our dynamic coaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hockey, a positive coaching style, and a commitment to developing players at all levels—from youth beginners to advanced competitive players.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a hockey player or coach.
- Strong understanding of fundamentals, techniques, and current training trends.
- USA Hockey coaching certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.
- Must pass a background check and adhere to all SafeSport guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead on-ice practices sessions for the intro to hockey program.
- Develop and implement development plans for players across various age groups.
- Collaborate with team coaches to provide in-game and practice support.
- Support development during team practices, skills sessions, and clinics.
- Maintain a professional, enthusiastic, and inclusive environment on and off the ice.
- Communicate with parents on progression, and scheduling.
- Complete other tasks and duties as assigned.
