About The Position

SCOPE OF WORK The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) requires general support services for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Project (WTP) High Level Waste division. WTP requires one (1) Part-time equivalent general support contractor (960 labor hours) to provide support in the following areas: ? Provide oversight of contractor system design review program. ? Coordinate system design reviews for the WTP HLW systems. ? Assist the Hanford Interface Management Team with Interface Control Document (ICD). ? Coordinate to issue assessment and resolution with HFO engineering, regulatory, and other supporting staff. ? Participate in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), WTP High Level Waste (HLW) assessment progress and Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) configurations. ? Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Contractor shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Contractor employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.

Requirements

  • Weekly status report emailed to the technical monitor at the end of each week. The weekly report shall be as detailed as requested by the technical monitor.
  • Non-Disclosure/Conflict of Interest form signed by both the general support contractor and authorized contractor representative must be submitted to procurement before any work/support can start.
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
  • Compliance with site specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.
  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Hanford Site Tank Waste mission, activities, and priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with WTP project design, quality assurance and oversight
  • Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn and utilize, various technology management tools used at Hanford.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Expert-level proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • HFO iCAS expert level proficiency
