About The Position
Inova 2740 Prosperity Ave is looking for a dedicated HIV Health Educator to join the team. This role will be Full-Time Days Monday-Friday. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 8 years)
- 3 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Assists with the development of grant applications.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of conferences.
- Designs and distributes program brochures within timeframes defined by policy.
- Creates curriculum modules for specific Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) prevention/care topics.
- Identifies gaps in services by developing contacts with local AIDS service organizations.
- Provides assistance with program/policy development to community based organizations and healthcare providers.
- Collects data, as required, by funding source 95 percent of the time and assisting with the preparation of reports/grants.
- Conducts needs assessments in community based organizations and healthcare facilities, as determined by grant requirements.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
