About The Position
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Histotechnician to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Position Summary: This position receives, accessions, and performs histology laboratory testing in accordance with laboratory protocol.
Requirements
- Associate degree and graduate of a school of Histotechnology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- American Society of Clinical Pathology or National Certification Agency. Must attain certification within 18 months of hire.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to perform work requiring manual dexterity.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
