About The Position
The School of Professional Studies and University Transfer is currently seeking qualified individuals to instruct JumpStart (dual enrollment) History sections during the following days and times: Wednesday 8 AM - 10:30 AM, Wednesday 11:15 AM - 1:30 PM, and Friday 8:20 AM - 10:30 AM.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in History, subfield, related field
- 1-2 years of teaching experience
- Design and deliver effective instruction
- Assess student learning and incorporate findings into course delivery
- Utilize a learning management system to supplement face-to-face instruction
- Support and encourage students in a civil and welcoming classroom climate
Responsibilities
- Instruct History survey courses
- Develop and manage course syllabus and materials
- Develop and manage an online course site in the college's LMS, Blackboard Learn
- Maintain records of attendance and student performance
- Submit attendance and grades as required by the college
