About The Position
The Department of History & Classical Studies at McGill University is seeking eligible candidates to serve as Teaching Assistants for the Fall 2026 term. This role requires TAs to be registered McGill MA or PhD graduate students in Fall 2026. Teaching Assistants are expected to perform their duties on campus in person and attend all lectures. Please note that postings are tentative and depend on final course offerings and enrollment numbers; not all posted courses may require a TA due to insufficient enrollment. Requirements
- Must be students registered in a McGill MA or PhD graduate program in the Fall 2026 term.
- Must be available on campus to perform tasks in person and attend all lectures.
- Must have appropriate academic backgrounds.
- Must have previous study in the subject of the course.
Responsibilities
- Hosting and facilitating discussions on Zoom with small groups of students
- Grading of exams and term papers
- Attending lectures and reading course materials
- Communicating with students regarding MyCourses, submission of assignments, etc.
