About The Position
Sentara Health is hiring a full-time, day-shift laboratory support technician in the Anatomic Pathology Lab at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. The technician prepares specimens according to discipline operating procedures for interpretation by technical staff and performs instrument maintenance and inventory functions according to operating procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or medical technology.
- No certification or licensure is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare specimens according to discipline operating procedures for result interpretation by technical staff.
- Perform instrument maintenance according to operating procedures.
- Perform inventory functions according to operating procedures.
