About The Position

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) is hosting a Summer Hiring Event for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents ages 7–21 with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Behavioral/Mental Health (BH/MH) diagnoses. This event is an opportunity to meet with the Devereux team and learn about career opportunities supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with various needs including intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral health needs, mental health diagnoses, and emotional challenges. The event offers walk-in interviews for multiple teams such as Direct Support, Clinical, Educational, Mental Health Tech, Supervisory, and Support Staff. It is suitable for those starting their careers or looking to grow in behavioral health, education, human services, or leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for some positions/locations.
  • Drug-free workplace/testing required.
  • Prior experience working with children in behavioral health preferred.

  • Relevant Degrees: Special Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work.

Responsibilities

  • Support children, adolescents, and young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral health needs, mental health diagnoses, and emotional challenges.
  • Work within school, residential, or community environments.
  • Provide direct support, clinical, educational, mental health technical, supervisory, or support staff services.
