About The Position

NORY is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to manage their hiring process. This role is crucial for NORY's growth phase, focusing on finding and engaging top talent who may not be actively seeking new opportunities. The specialist will be responsible for identifying these candidates, generating interest, and guiding them through an efficient and respectful hiring process. This is a part-time, fully remote contractor role where the specialist will collaborate with various hiring managers across NORY's departments to fill key positions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, either in-house or agency.
  • Proven track record of sourcing passive candidates.
  • Ability to write outreach messages that generate replies, with examples to demonstrate.
  • Familiarity with at least one modern ATS (e.g., Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever).
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Highly organized with a systematic approach to managing tasks.
  • Honest and discerning about candidate quality, prioritizing quality over quantity.

Responsibilities

  • Source passive candidates by identifying individuals not actively looking for jobs, crafting tailored outreach messages, and converting them into applicants.
  • Manage inbound applications from platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, and the company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring candidates are processed or receive a decision within 48 hours.
  • Conduct first-round interviews (phone or video) using NORY's structured interview rubric.
  • Track and report on key recruiting metrics weekly, including applicant sources, time-to-screen, screen-to-offer rates, and pass-through rates by stage.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain a 'warm bench' of strong potential candidates for future job openings.
