About The Position
Arc Broward's School of Hire Program is seeking an energetic and compassionate Hire Education Associate to help young people overcome barriers, discover their strengths, and build brighter futures. The role supports students with disabilities in school and community settings, helping them work toward their goals and develop employment skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of prior work experience supporting youth with disabilities.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
- Successful Level II background check, physical, and drug screen.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Drive students to various community sites during the school day.
- Support students' self-advocacy.
- Assist the ESE teacher in implementing lesson plans.
- Work directly with students to help them make progress on their goals.
- Supervise and coach students as they learn work skills at community business sites.
