About The Position
University Behavioral Center of Orlando, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds. Position Summary: Perform duties associated with the support of all aspects Health Information Management. Analyzes discharge charts and prepares them for scanning in the EMR. Does ROI’s when received in office. Assist public, staff and physicians with requests as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in information management and direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility preferred.
- No licensure necessary

Responsibilities
- Audits discharge patient charts for completeness of documentation.
- Scanning chart into EMR (Cerner).
- Handles request by the public with respect and professionalism whether in person or on phone.
- Support audits and quality assurance reviews by providing organized and accessible medical documentation.
