About The Position

We’re looking for a HIM Document Management Analyst (FT) like you to join our Texas Health family. This is a remote position but must be located within the DFW Metroplex area. The work hours are full time, Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The HIMS Records Management Department offers experience working with electronic health records, the ability to work remote on occasion, and flexible scheduling for a great work-life balance.

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
Associate's Degree Health Information Management, Business, Health Care or a related field REQUIRED
4 Years Experience in a healthcare environment with an EMR. In lieu of 4 years experience, may substitute 2 years experience with Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED
Knowledge of complex acute care hospital Health Information Management operations including revenue cycle, data integrity and HIPAA privacy requirements.
Understanding of HIM processes in an electronic health record environment.
Knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS medical record documentation regulations with ability to learn state requirements.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with providers (physicians, mid-levels, allied health professionals, etc.) and other stakeholders.
Problem solving/critical thinking skills.
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
