About The Position

We are looking for a HIM Document Management Analyst (FT) to join our Texas Health family. This is a remote position but requires the candidate to be located within the DFW Metroplex area. The role involves working with electronic health records and offers flexible scheduling and a great work-life balance within the HIMS Records Management Department.

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent
Associate's Degree in Health Information Management, Business, Health Care or a related field
4 Years Experience in a healthcare environment with an EMR. In lieu of 4 years experience, may substitute 2 years experience with Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge of complex acute care hospital Health Information Management operations including revenue cycle, data integrity and HIPAA privacy requirements.
Understanding of HIM processes in an electronic health record environment.
Knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS medical record documentation regulations with ability to learn state requirements.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with providers (physicians, mid-levels, allied health professionals, etc.) and other stakeholders.
Problem solving/critical thinking skills.
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
