About The Position

The Health Information Management analyst collects, analyzes and scans healthcare data from various sources, ensuring the quality and integrity of health information databases. Maintains timely retrieval of all records. Tracks incomplete medical records. Follow-ups and removes deficiencies from system. Answers phones. The analyst will manage electronic health records (EHRs) ensuring their accuracy, accessibility and security. This includes maintaining and updating health information records. The Health Information Management analyst ensures compliance with healthcare data privacy laws and regulations, such as HIPAA. They may assist in regulatory preparations and audits. The analyst will work closely with healthcare providers, IT professionals and administrative staff to optimize the use of health information systems and support data management needs. The analyst will conduct regular audits of health information to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in Health Information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience in healthcare.
  • Computer literate (Windows Applications, HMS, AS400).

  • Determines and implements appropriate measurement and analytical methods to achieve specified analytical project or tasks objectives.
  • Identifies and resolves data quality issues.
  • Coordinates the work of other project team members to accomplish specified analytical project or task objectives.
  • Determines the most informative approaches to summarizing data and communicating analytical results.
  • Develops, as required, innovative or customized templates and formats.
