Under the direction & guidance of higher-level Highway Patrol Electronic Technician, clean, install, repair, & maintain basic electronic & communication equipment: Install all RF mobile & portable electronic equipment, various electronic equipment, various wiring harnesses, various storage boxes, trays, consoles &/or cages into Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) staff vehicles, Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) vehicles, &/or vehicles for other state agencies, which may contain secured ammunition &/or firearms. Perform final inspection of all items listed above & on all electronic equipment installed in vehicles for accuracy & completeness. Test, repair, &/or refurbish electronic equipment & various wiring harnesses; Repair electronic testing equipment used for monitoring & adjusting. Monitor & correct any frequency modulations & power output according to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules & regulations.
