About The Position

Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a driven Acquisitions Editor to join their team. This role requires a talented individual with strong communication and sales skills to build lasting partnerships with college professors. The position involves living in or near Orlando, FL, with seven weeks of travel per semester, alternating with weeks working from a home office and spending a full week on college campuses. The primary responsibility is to interview, identify business potential, and persuade select candidates to partner with the company by developing interactive and engaging educational materials for lower-level, higher-enrollment courses. As an Acquisitions Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, interviewing professors, and persuading author candidates to become Kendall Hunt authors.

Responsibilities

  • Interview college professors to identify business potential.
