About The Position

Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a driven Acquisitions Editor to join their team. This role requires strong communication and sales skills to build lasting partnerships with college professors. The position involves living in or near Orlando, FL, with seven weeks of travel per semester, alternating with weeks working from a home office and spending a full week on college campuses. The primary responsibility is to identify business opportunities, interview professors, and persuade potential author candidates to partner with the company. The goal is to develop interactive and engaging materials for lower-level, higher-enrollment courses that meet student needs and make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

  • Interview college professors to identify business potential.
