About The Position

Performs a full range of work involved in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of primary and secondary electrical distribution systems. Performs maintenance inspections to determine safety hazards, damage, and repair requirements. Must be able to work safely with 13,200 volts of electricity. Plans, installs, modifies, tests, maintains and repairs a variety of fixtures, hardware and equipment including transformers, generators, convertors, fuses, conductors, switches, conduit, controllers, etc. Must be trained in installing hi-voltage terminations, including transformer elbows, stress cones and splices.

Requirements

Minimum of five years journeyman-level experience.
Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent formal vocational/technical training program on industrial electrical systems.
Proficiency and expertise in the field.
Ability to work safely on all high voltage systems, both above ground and underground.
Ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
Possession of a Class B CDL.
Ability to pass a drug screen.
Experience with High Voltage systems.

Nice To Haves

Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
