About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Electrician-High Voltage to join our team in Springfield, VA to support our government customer. This role requires a U.S. Citizen and the ability to maintain a Top Secret security clearance. The High Voltage Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions, including the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Responsibilities include installing or repairing electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment. The role involves working from blueprints, drawings, and layouts, diagnosing electrical system or equipment issues, performing standard computations related to wiring or electrical equipment load requirements, and utilizing various electrician's hand tools and measuring/testing instruments.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
Medium voltage experience.
Familiarity with electrical controls systems.
Familiarity with NEC.
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
NETA III Certification or, NICET II Electrical Power Testing or Virginia Electrical Journeyman’s license/certificate.
Electrical Journeyman’s license/certificate or 10 yrs. Experience in commercial/industrial setting.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

NICET I Electrical Power Testing preferred.
Master Electrician’s license preferred.
OSHA 30 Card preferred.
NFPA 70E Certification preferred.

Responsibilities
