About The Position

We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide assistance with daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes in the Wheeler, Michigan area, in accordance with an established care plan. The role supports people in living with dignity, independence, and purpose in the comfort of their own homes. Two 12-hour shifts are scheduled per day: 8 a.m.–8 p.m. and 8 p.m.–8 a.m.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work responsibly both as part of a team and independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, including THC screening, and clear a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients’ residences.
• Perform domestic and household tasks.
• Transport and accompany patients to doctors’ offices or hospitals.
• Administer simple prescribed medications.
• Assist with clients’ personal care activities.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, temperature, respiration, and other conditions, and report on their condition.
• Maintain patients’ care records and document services provided.
• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies or exercises.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise.
• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.
