About The Position

Northeast Family Services is seeking a High Support Needs Direct Support Professional to join its growing team. This fee-for-service role involves implementing clients’ behavior support plans to reduce challenging behaviors and providing ABA-based instruction to promote the development of new skills under the direction of a supervising BCBA. The Direct Support Professional monitors client behavior, collects behavioral data, and communicates observations and progress to the client’s care team. The role also includes collaborating with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support meaningful and lasting behavioral change.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional-age youth, or families.
Experience supporting adolescents requiring comprehensive levels of care.
Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
Availability to work after-school and evening hours.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Compassionate, person-centered approach to care.

Nice To Haves

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is preferred.
Experience implementing behavioral interventions in applied settings is preferred.
