About The Position

Teach the curriculum of Independent School District 196 and carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract and the principal. Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents. This is a 1.0 FTE long-term substitute position at Apple Valley High School, anticipated to run from November 9, 2026, through January 1, 2027. The position reports to the building principal. Compensation and benefits are according to the contractual agreement. Benefit-eligible employees may access benefits beginning on their first day of active employment.

Requirements

• Licensed by the state of Minnesota to teach high school physical education.
• Strong general academic background.
• Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
