About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking 8 dedicated LBS1 Special Education Teachers to support high school students in Chicago, IL, during the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves providing specialized instruction to students with mild-to-moderate disabilities, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and fostering student success through relationship building, behavior management, and crisis intervention. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to create flexible, student-centered learning environments is also a key aspect of the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement for high school
- Strong behavior management and crisis intervention skills with a high degree of adaptability

- Experience supporting high-risk or opportunity youth preferred
Responsibilities
