About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher committed to creating engaging learning experiences that help every learner succeed throughout the school year in Chicago, IL. This role involves providing specialized instruction and academic interventions to students with diverse learning needs through both inclusive classroom support and small-group instruction. The teacher will develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student growth and achievement in core academic areas. Collaboration with general education teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams is essential to ensure appropriate accommodations, modifications, and student supports. The position also requires tracking student progress, maintaining required documentation, and using assessment data to inform instructional planning and intervention strategies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
